At JW Decoys I handcraft custom cork and wood hunting decoys. Each and every decoy is unique. All my decoys are built with the hunter in mind. They are handcarved from hi-density tan cork with a hardwood bottom board, tupelo or basswood heads. On August 8th, 2009...My dream hunt started on the EVENT day when I spoke with my wife, Coleen, about the possibility of hunting King Eider and Harlequin ducks in Alaska. Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine that I would be able to hunt in the Aleutian Islands. I have watched the "Deadliest Catch" over and over, while thinking about King Eiders. Prior to the EVENT, I met Charlie Summerville at the Waterfowler Days show in Havre de Grace, looked at his pictures and talked about the hunt. I saw plenty of threads on the "Refuge" and was amazed about the hunt and King Eiders.

We are a full-time guide service hunting all species of waterfowl in southern New Jersey. Gunning in the Delaware Bay, we specialize in decoying shots from 15-25 yards for scoters and old squaw. Excellent opportunities are also offered in the surrounding marshes for puddle ducks in this prime waterfowl area. For the widest variety, we highly suggest the coast of New Jersey for both resident and migrating flocks of puddle ducks, divers and atlantic brant. If goose hunting is your preference, canadas or snows are well scouted in all southern zones. Our guides have impeccable resumes in field performance and competition calling. My name is Brad Taylor, by trade I am a middle school science.  As a teacher, I had to find something to do during the summer months because as the saying goes, "idle hands are the devil's work"!  Ask my wife, as she is starting to believe my decoys are reproducing at an exponential rate!

During the summer of 2003 I decided that I would build a Gatorboats Duckhunter marshboat.  I come from a woodworking background where my stepfather is a carpenter and my dad is truly an artist with wood, luckily for me I have managed to combine qualities of the two. As the summer of 2004 approached I desperately wanted to build another boat, however, if I built one for myself my wife would have made me sleep in it!  So I decided to build a Duckhunter for someone else. Finding potential buyers was not a problem, as I believe my attention to detail speaks for itself.
