Well Brucie....this is that piece of cedar...ran into a snag...I noticed that there was a check in the wood that ran nearly the whole length of the block. It looked like I could cut it out when I cut the block in half. Well I cut the block in half and the check ran all the way through the top half and some into the bottom half. So I broke the top half in two at the check and glued it back together...of course the check still shows...the check in the bottom half only goes in about a quarter inch. Since this was going to be an antiqued bird, I decided to try and salvage it and went ahead and hollowed it out and put the iron horseshoe keel weight on.....attached the head and glued her together.....it is oversized from the pattern you sent...nearly 8 inches wide.
