Several Pit Blind members as well as a couple others got together with the WoodWizard, Jim Romig, for some carving lessons yesterday. Nice to meet you guys and look forward to the next session. Photos by Jim Romig, via facebook.

Tom Y was actually there a few days earlier, due to previous plans, but should be joining the group next time.

Wow I like that picture of me, makes me look skinny LOL!

As Chris said it was a good time and a chance to meet fellow fowlers and to learn from a very good carver Jim Romig. A big thanks to Jim for putting up with us all! Looking forward to the next session for sure.

Carving lubricant anyone? Grin

I never attempt to carve without an ample amount of the proper carving fluid.

Jim was the cameraman so no pics of himself, and there was only one minor cut the entire day. I scared myself, and Romig, pretty bad with one knife slip, but came away unscathed.

We all had a great time, Thanks Jim.
I try to keep my hand away from the cutting parts now, some times it makes it hard to carve with you feet.  Smiley Smiley
