Trying to get the runs out of the first 3 Can's I did. So I am sanding them. Once I got under the hard coat I am hitting some area's that are tacky.

I'm thinking I need to take these to bare wood and start over. Your thoughts?

winger, these are what I was talking about bring down to paint. And I need to paint the other 7 too.

It sounds as though you didn't need but just one coat....the wood can only absorb so much.....you did put two coats on right?

Are you talking about spar?  It takes awhile for it to fully cure especially on areas like drips or runs.  Let it completely cure then sand it out.

Apply THIN.  I found that it takes very little epoxy per coat.  When I do get drips that dry I hit them with 60 grit paper to remove them fast.  I also like to hang my decoys to cure and wipe off any drips that might have formed after about 2 hours or so of hanging.
Its quite strong stuff once it cures.  Guess that's why boat builders use it.

That stuff will gum up a sanding belt in a hurry. It should'nt be too hard to  sand off.

Nailed the heads onto the 6 can bodies we put the heads on. Bondo around the neck. Some touch up work for Big Chief.

Now onto to painting 3 of them.

Put that in your pipe brucieslayer2!
